๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ a rough place during the day, let alone at night, fights breaking out, drunks stumbling their way around and trying to follow the scent of alcohol and morons being well, morons. Though for someone like Olivia Hale, that just made her life more exciting.
Many of the streetlights didn't work, or they'd flicker in an out of tune melody as she walked beneath them, shards of glass crunching beneath the heels of her boots as she made her way back to the hotel she was staying in. She took her time walking out in the open without a care in the world as she caught up with her brother over the phone.
"I'm on my way back to the hotel, are you sure you don't need my help back there?" The brunette questioned her older brother, Derek, once again.
On the other end of the phone, he chuckled. "No Liv, it's just another Kanima. We have it handled."
The twenty-seven-year-old scoffed out a laugh as she crossed the road, the hotel she was staying merely seven minutes away. "Der, the last time you had a run-in with a Kanima you almost drowned in a pool with Stiles."
"Please don't remind me."
"I'm your sister, it's what I do."
"Don't I knowย โ" His voice faded away as her hearing picked up the sound of yelling and gunshots, not entirely uncommon in Hell's Kitchen, but that particular area had been relatively quiet during her stay, her enhanced hearing having to strain to even catch the sound of a bar fight.
"Der, I have to go."
"I heard gunshots, everything okay?"
"I'm not sure, I'm gonna go and check it out."
"Justย โย Just be careful, after those invasions, New York isn't looking so great." The elder Hale constantly kept up to date with everything Hell's Kitchen, just as Olivia did with Beacon Hills, neither of them willing to lose yet another family member; after all, there were only four of them left.
"You too. I'll call you later, love you, Buster."
He snorted at the nickname, "Yeah, yeah, I love you too, Liv. Later."
She quickly pocketed her phone and ducked into an ally, her boot-clad foot falling into a puddle and splashing grimy water onto her black jeans, she rolled her eyes at herself and hopped over the puddle, leaning her back against the wall and tilting her head as she focused on the sounds around her.
The sound of somebody panting as well as loud, awful music filled her ears, raising a brow in question she quickly took off around the side of the ally, almost sending a brunette-haired woman wearing headphones to the floor. She quickly grabbed the woman's arms, steadying her.
"You need to get out of here." The woman spoke, her eyes darting around as if looking for danger, her voice shook and her hands were trembling.
Olivia narrowed her eyes as she heard the woman lower the music, "Why?"
"Iย โ It's dangerous."
"So am I," Olivia tilted her head as she picked up on the sound of another woman's voice further in the distance. "Tell me, I can help."
"No, you can't."
The brunette dropped her head and exhaled heavily in annoyance, her patience wearing thin. She grit her teeth and allowed her eyes to glow as she lifted her head to look at the woman, a cobalt blue shining in the dark. "I can help."
The blonde gawked, before quickly regaining herself. "Okay, okay. Uhย โ Have you heard about Kilgrave?"
Olivia nodded as she folded her arms, her illuminated eyes fading back to brown. "Mind control? It's been all over the news."
"It's him, he's here, with my friend. We โ we need to stop him."
Olivia bit her lip as she listened once again, hearing a man with a smooth English accent. "Unbelievable. Ready the yacht."
"He's getting ready to leave, do whatever it is you were going to do, I'll figure something out, okay?" Olivia spoke, causing the blonde to look at her for a second and wonder what exactly 'I'll figure something out' meant.
But she didn't have time to dwell so she nodded and took off, sparing a single glance back to the woman with the piercing glowing eyes.
Olivia sighed as she looked up towards the dark sky, the full moon taunting her from above. She didn't have much time, the man had already engaged in conversation with who she assumed was the blonde woman's friend.
Without much thought, Olivia jumped with as much force as she could muster and gripped onto the edge of the building, quietly pulling herself up. She kept herself low, hiding in the shadows and the darkness of the night as she snuck across the roof, stopping in her tracks as she caught sight of a large group of people just... standing and staring forward, fresh bruises and cuts littered across their skin.
Just ahead of them were two more figures, one belonging to this 'Kilgrave' and one belonging to a woman with dark hair. She watched as the two conversed, making sure that she didn't focus her hearing. She was not about to become some puppet on a string for another power-hungry maniac, no thank you.
As she approached the edge of the building, she quickly lowered herself, a small thud sounding out as her boots hit the ground, thankfully, quiet enough to avoid any attention, not even a look was directed to the dark ally she observed from.
From her position, it wouldn't take any effort to hear what either figure was saying, but she didn't need to listen, her attention was captured as the blonde she had rammed into earlier walked forward, and that was when Olivia noticed the lack of headphones. The headphones that blocked out the man's orders, the man's powers. She was being controlled.
The blonde kept walking until she was face to face with Kilgrave, one hand clutched in his. That was when the Hale decided to listen in.
"You'd do anything to protect her, wouldn't you?" His words were slow and taunting, clawing at the woman who stood against him.
"Yes." The woman with raven-colored hair spoke, without a moment of hesitation, her voice on the edge of breaking.
The man dressed in a suit grinned, turning his head back to the blonde and eyeing her up and down. "Yes, perhaps I chose the wrong sister. Hmm?" He looked towards the black-haired woman with a smug smile as he pulled the blonde closer. "From your perspective, I'll be raping her every day."
Those words were enough to make Olivias eyes glow on their own accord, her fingernails growing and being replaced by razor-sharp claws, her teeth became elongated, all of them as sharp as needles and a growl rumbled from her stomach, up her throat and into the night, causing Kilgrave and the black-haired woman to look in her direction.
The man took a step back, his grip loosening on the blonde as shining blue eyes contrasted against the darkness, glaring straight at him. "You will โ"
Before he could finish his sentence that may or may not have put her under his controlย โ she didn't know if it would work on her, she wasn't technically human, after allย โ She cut him off with a loud and fearsome roar and came into view.
Her face was contorted, often times she would allow her teeth, eyes, and claws to change, without the rest of her face morphing. This time, the full moon was rising, shining down on her, begging her to succumb to it's will, just as Kilgrave had tried to make her.
The man deserved whatever came to him, and by God, did it feel liberating to let her monstrous side out, she wanted to tear him to pieces, she lusted after his crimson blood. But no, she may be a monster of tales told around campfires in the dead of night, but she wasn't a dick.
The raven-haired woman deserved her revenge.
Olivia couldn't recall her name, but from the stories she had read online, that man, had taken her to hell and back. This was for her to end, Olivia was just there to help; so help she would.
She began to sprint forward, her face unrecognizable, thank God; it would keep her safe from the news at least.
The dark-haired woman grabbed the blonde pulling her out of Olivia's way, the blonde proceeded to thrash against her, trying to get back to Kilgrave, his mind control twisting inside of her brain.
"Sorry, Trish." The black-haired woman muttered and she swiftly knocked her out.
Olivia continued forward, making it to the man in record time, roaring or growling every time his mouth opened, making the words die on his tongue. When she was close enough she drew back a hair-covered hand, and slashed his side with her claws, skin became trapped under her nails as blood spilled from the man, littering her clothes and skin.
He toppled to the ground with a yell of pain, clutching his bloody side, crimson liquid dripping down his fingertips from the four large gashes that had ripped through his clothing and flesh.
He panted and gasped as he moved, every small movement sending waves of pain throughout his body.
Olivia turned her head from the blood on the ground and met the eyes of the other woman, the Hale gestured with her head, telling the woman that it was up to her, she could finish it, end his string of suffering and take her life back.
The woman nodded stiffly and stepped forward, her eyes never leaving his as he grunted in pain, a small, relieved smile twitched at the side of her lips. She crouched down staring at him, her eyes landing on his wound for a second.
"Jessica..." He whispered, pain lacing his voice.
Jessica's eyes hardened and her hand flew out, grasping his neck. As she slowly stood, she pulled him with her. Olivia watched on in fascination, the girl had her own enhanced strength.
Jessica rose Kilgrave into the air, her eyes never leaving his as she spoke, her voice laced with malice. "Smile."
And with one swift movement, she latched her other hand behind his head and twisted, a loud crack echoing off him before he slumped to the floor. Completely still.
Jessica let out a large, shaky breath before looking at Olivia with furrowed brows. "What โ Who are you?"
Olivia's face returned back to its original state, cobalt fading from her eyes and being replaced with the whiskey color that ran in the family, her brows thinning down into sharp arches, her nose becoming less pointed and angled. Her claws retracted and her teeth return to normal as she offered Jessica something she hadn't given many people, a small, crooked smile. "Olivia Hale."

That is how Olivia Hale and Jessica Jones met.
Now, many events occurred after Kilgrave had finally been killed; Olivia took Trish home and waited with her until she awoke, telling the blonde about what had happened.
This led to a very large and tiring series of questions being spouted from Trish, questions about what Olivia was, how she had found them... Why she had helped.
Olivia did her best to explain what she was and was thankful that Trish believed her immediately, it saved her a whole load of time.
Olivia had actually taken a liking to Trish, the woman was strong and stubborn, like the Hale girl herself.
As weeks passed, Olivia found herself becoming closer to both Jessica and Trish, eventually being invited out by Jessica for a 'few' drinks with herself and Luke Cage. The man took it upon himself to challenge the wolf to a drinking competition, she obviously agreed, after all, she couldn't get drunk; one of the few downsides to accelerated healing.
Eventually, Olivia Hale came to love them, something she scolded herself for, but she couldn't help it, her ever drinking P.I, Mr. Invincible, podcast barbie and the former junkie wormed their way into her furry little heart.

Olivia eventually moved out of the hotel and moved in with Jessica due to her being there almost all the time and being the person who would help Jess with her cases.
The group of five would get together every fortnight, either to drink or eat their weight in Chinese food and watch a movie. It had become a sort of tradition over the months, though eventually, Luke stopped showing, bringing the five, down to four. Malcome and Trish mentally cursing Luke for leaving them with two people that had such... 'Strong' personalities.
And that's where we are now.
Over one year later.
Olivia Hale once again out in the dead of night, the rustling of the bag that held Chinese food and her steps along the concrete being the only sound, well, other than the ramblings of a drunk or two.
It was quite the cold night, Olivia being wrapped in her long black trenchcoat; her black jeans only visible from midcalf downwards. The girl had just gotten back from visiting her brother, uncle and old pack in Beacon Hills and thought she would be nice for once and surprise her group of friends with dinner and alcohol.
It was a Friday, which meant that all of her friends should be gathered in Olivia and Jess's shared apartment.
But they were not.
As Olivia entered the building, she couldn't hear a thing coming from the apartment, so with furrowed brows, she made her way up the stairs and sighed as she saw the destroyed door.
She peered inside, only to see the apartment was a wreck, glass shattered, a hole or six in the walls, blood... what the hell had happened?
The brunette quickly dumped the food in the fridge and walked over to Jessica's desk, a ripped and crumpled piece of paper lying on top, black, messy writing scribbled across it.
Jess knew that Olivia would've been home soon, the Hale girl had told her a few days prior that she would be home in 'A few days', clearly she should have come home sooner.
She blew her unruly chocolate-colored hair out of her face and picked up the piece of paper, squinting as she tried to make out what the scrawls said.
'Found them, need help, find me,
-J'
The wolf groaned and tossed the paper onto the ground, she knew exactly who Jessica meant; the detective had kept her updated after all.
The Hand, Jess had found them, and by the sounds of it, needed more help than she once thought.
Olivia pursed her lips and exhaled as she quickly swiped one of Jess's jackets from the back of her desk chair. "You better not be dead because I am going to kill you, Jessica Jones."
